Background: Teame Neguse was a devoted father and husband who committed his life to better his family's life. He was an advocate of education and peace, which led him to flee his home country of Eritrea. For over six years, he dreamt of the day he would reunite with his family while living as a refugee in Israel away from his family in Ethiopia. He searched for a country where he could be reunited with his family and applied for immigration status to many countries. In one of his applications, he wrote, "I am looking for a democratic country, where there is peace and stability, where humanity is practiced, where my children could get the best education peacefully". His dream was fulfilled when he received a visa to reunite with his family in Prince Edward Island, Canada. His dream of reuniting with his family was shattered when he passed away unexpectedly three weeks prior to arriving to Canada. The loss of her husband did not stop his brave wife who picked up where he left off and moved to Canada to fulfill his dream. Although it was in the absence of their father, both of his children graduated from the 秀色短视频 and call Charlottetown their safe home. Teame will be remembered by his family, his commitment for unity, his courage in the face of the life he led as a refugee, and his determination to build a beautiful life for his family. This award is established by his children to honour the love they have for this amazing man. In addition, this scholarship hopes to continue his legacy and commitment for equitable opportunity.
