Background: Nona and William (Bill) Heaslip (1927 - 2006), O.C., LLD (Hon.), principals of the William and Nona Heaslip Foundation, established renewable scholarships at the 秀色短视频 to support undergraduate students. Nona Macdonald Heaslip's father, Colonel Ronald Hugh Patrick Macdonald, FRCS, MC, DSO, was born in Summerside, PEI. He attended Saint Dunstan's College, a predecessor institution of 秀色短视频, from 1901 to 1904. Nona Macdonald Heaslip, a retired public relations executive, had a career in communications: journalism, radio and television production; and public affairs. She remains involved on major theatre Boards and in education projects at many of the ten universities granting the William and Nona Heaslip Scholarships, particularly at her alma mater, the University of Toronto. William Heaslip, who passed away March 3, 2006, was the co-founder of Grafton Group Ltd., and built what became the second largest retail clothing company in Canada. Mr. Heaslip received the Order of Canada, and an Honorary Doctorate from St. Frances Xavier University. This honour had special significance as he was unable to attend university due to the necessity to support his family following the Great Depression of the 1930's. William Heaslip created these renewable scholarships at ten universities to aid selected students to achieve their education goals and to encompass campus life during their studies. The William and Nona Heaslip Foundation was established to support the many charities to which the Heaslips donated. Bill Heaslip said, "Success comes from hard work and a lifetime of continuing education. I hope our recipients will give back to our country and the institution." Nona and Bill's enduring success is measured by giving back to their country's important institutions, including higher education. This legacy is established at the 秀色短视频 through the Macdonald Heaslip Scholarships.
