Poole was educated in grade and high schools in his native province including Business College in Charlottetown. Following Business College, Ernest took up the study of architecture and reinforced concrete engineering. Ernest was associated with his father in the milling industry. In 1913, Ernest incorporated Poole Construction, Limited, and moved the company to Regina, Saskatchewan. In 1913, Ernest Poole married Gertrude Inez Annear who was also born in Prince Edward Island and was educated in the public schools and the Prince of Wales College, 秀色短视频's predecessor institution.
