As we are about to move to a new Moodle in September, our multistage
rollout continues!
Our first stage continues with another 5-week summer session in what's
new and better about the new Moodle! The sessions run from July 8-August 9 meeting
face to face once a week and have some online exercises to be completed
between sessions.
If you are interested in taking the course, please take two minutes to fill
in the following form regarding which day you want to attend:
There will be further updates regarding the new Moodle rollout in the weeks
to come, so keep your eyes open for campus notices and the Campus Connector!

Juanita Diamond from ACOA will be on campus July 9 to hold an
information session regarding Round 11 of the AIF competition.
The information session will take place in Kelley Memorial 234 at 10:00 am. The
session will last approximately an hour with time for questions.
If you plan to attend, RSVP to Janet Crowther, jcrowther@upei.ca.
Additional Information
The deadline for mandatory letters of intent is August 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm,
and the deadline for the submission of project proposals is November 6,
2013 at 2:00 pm.

The pride flag will be raised by representatives of ARCPEI,
the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Rainbow Alliance, and
the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Action Committee on Sexuality and Gender Diversity
at the flagpoles near Kelley Memorial Building
on Monday, July 8 at 12:00 pm to recognize
PEI Pride Week.
All are welcome to attend.

There will be an interruption of various ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ services on Sunday, July
14 between 2:00-5:00 pm and lasting up to 15 minutes for each service.
This interruption will affect access to our wireless internet, email, and
the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ website for roughly 15 minutes.
In addition, several key services such as the University Information System,
AVC Electronic Medical Records System, HERA, and Moodle will
be affected for several minutes between 2:00 and 5:00 pm
IT Systems and Services regrets any inconvenience this service interruption
will cause ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ staff and faculty.

team, that option is also available.
Competing teams include "ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Incoming Students," "ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Returning
Students," "ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Staff & Faculty," "ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Orientation Leadership Team," and

The winning team will have bragging rights and will also receive a trophy

attend a public session during which the 2011-13 cohort of the master
of education - community college cohort will present posters of their capstone research projects.
Friday, July 5 from 1-3 pm in the MacKinnon Lecture Theatre at
the Charlottetown Centre of Holland College.

Dr. Chris Hauton will be giving a special seminar on Thursday, July 18, at 2 pm in AVC Lecture Theatre "A."
His seminar is entitled: "Is there any scope to exploit the crustacean immune system for disease control - Have we reached a dead end and, if not, where might we go next?"
Dr. Hauton is from Ocean and Earth Science, University of Southampton.
