Panther Fitness Programs Announced!

Panther Fitness is challenging, effective, and rewarding. We offer a
variety of opportunities to support you on your fitness adventure. We will
help you make fitness a part of your life!
'New' Sunrise Yoga Class
Start your day off with a full body strength and flexibility workout which
tones the body. Long stretches will melt away the stress and create a
feeling of deep relaxation. We have two different sessions: Mondays
6:30-7:15 am and Fridays 6:30-7:15 am which will be led by
fitness instructor Anna Lacroix. Monday sessions start on May 13 and
Friday sessions start on May 17. This class will be held at the Alumni
Track (in case of bad weather the location will be at the Chi-Wan Young
Sports Centre gym).
Kettlebell
This class is ideal for explosive exercises that work major muscles, burn
body fat and build power. Integrating full body movement patterns which
require stabilizing responses, the class will provide amazing metabolic
conditioning. This class will be led by fitness instructor Wendy Chappell
and will be held in the raquetball court at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre
from noon-12:45 pm. Classes begin on May 15.
Pilates
Pilates combines stretching and strengthening of muscles and addresses the
body as an integrated system. The focus is on training the mind and body
to work together with an emphasis on core strength. Fitness instructor
Tracey Gairns-Brioux will be leading this class which will be held in the
raquetball court at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. We have two different sessions:
Tuesdays noon-12:45 and Thursdays noon-12:45. Classes begin May 14 and 16.
Zumba
The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to
create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Join Anna
Lacroix on Mondays from noon-12:45 beginning May 20. This class will
be held in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre gym.
Fees for each session (6 classes/session) are $55 plus hst for Sports
Centre members and $65 plus hst for non-members. To register, please stop
by the Panther Central desk at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. We accept cash, cheques
and credit cards. If you'd like to register by phone, please call 566-0368
with your credit card information.
