Dr. Aleisha Murnaghan to lead medical program development with the new medical school at 秀色短视频
The 秀色短视频 is pleased to announce alumnus Dr. Aleisha Murnaghan as the Medical Program Development Consultant for the University鈥檚 new Faculty of Medicine, effective September 12, 2023.
鈥淚 am very pleased to welcome Aleisha back to 秀色短视频,鈥 said Dr. Greg Keefe, interim president and vice-chancellor. 鈥淗er broad experience and educational background in the health care field will be highly beneficial as we move forward with the development of the new Faculty of Medicine.鈥
Dr. Murnaghan holds three degrees: Bachelor of Science (2002) from 秀色短视频, Doctor of Medicine (2007) from Memorial University, and Master of Health Professions Education (2014) from the University of Ottawa. She also completed her Medical Education Fellowship (2012) and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship (2011) at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Murnaghan has extensive medical education experience through serving as a member of the Canadian Association Emergency Physicians Education Scholarship Committee; Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, University of Ottawa; Undergraduate Elective Director at the University of Ottawa Department of Emergency Medicine; a member of the University of Ottawa Department of Emergency Medicine Residency Clinical Competency Committee; and a national review course examiner for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Murnaghan has been an Emergency Medicine Physician at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital since 2010 and was a Consulting Staff Emergency Medicine Physician, Department of Emergency Medicine, at The Ottawa Hospital from 2012鈥2017.
Murnaghan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Agency, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island, the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians, the Canadian Medical Association, and the PEI Medical Society.

Dr. Murnaghan lives in Stratford with her four children, Stella, James, Jayden, and Ruby. They have four horses and one dog. When not working or chasing her kids around she enjoys riding, cycling, camping, running, swimming, and gardening
