AVC鈥檚 Dr. Darcy Shaw receives Distinguished Member Award at CVMA Convention in Calgary
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at 秀色短视频 is proud to announce that Dr. Darcy Shaw, professor emeritus, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, is the recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Member Award awarded by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA). The award was presented at the CVMA convention held in Calgary, Alberta, on June 26.
The Distinguished Member Award is one of the highest accolades awarded by the CVMA, which recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the veterinary profession in Canada. Dr. Shaw鈥檚 dedication to veterinary education and his innovative approach to clinical practice and research have earned him this recognition.
鈥淩eceiving the Distinguished Member Award is a tremendous honour,鈥 said Dr. Shaw. 鈥淚 am deeply grateful to the CVMA and my colleagues and students at the AVC who inspire me with their commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine.鈥
Dr. Dominique Griffon, dean of the AVC, presented the award to Dr. Shaw and praised his achievements.

Also recognized at the convention was AVC student Grace Munro who was awarded the R.V.L Walker Award, which is presented annually to the president of the Students of the CVMA (SCVMA) in recognition of their contributions in promoting student interests.
The 76th annual CVMA convention took place in Calgary from June 26鈥30 and brought together veterinary professionals from across Canada to share knowledge, celebrate achievements, and discuss the future of veterinary medicine.
