Every week, 秀色短视频 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 秀色短视频 Panther Athletes of the Week for November 25鈥揇ecember 1, 2024, are Devon Lawlor (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kaleb Pearson (men鈥檚 hockey).

Lawlor, a fourth-year business student from Mill Cove, PEI, made several key plays in the 73-71 win over the University of New Brunswick Reds on November 29. She finished with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting (2-of-3 from three) with three assists.

鈥淒evon had one of her best games of the season, shooting an efficient 5-of-8 from the field and 2-of-3 from three,鈥� said head coach Matt Gamblin. 鈥淪he was on top of her game when the team really needed it. She made several plays to spark our comeback and then helped us close the deal in the second half.鈥�

Pearson, a fourth-year arts student from St. Mary鈥檚, Ontario, was pivotal in the 5-1 win over the Dalhousie University Tigers on November 30, scoring twice. He also had an assist the night before in a loss to the St. Francis Xavier University X-Men.

鈥淜aleb had a strong weekend. He was our best forward against St. FX on Friday and then broke through against Dalhousie, scoring two goals,鈥� said head coach Forbes MacPherson.
