Faculty and staff of the biomedical sciences department at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) ladled out generosity and conversation to hundreds of hungry students at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ (ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ) in February. 

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Office of Health, Safety, and Environment has provided information to the campus community about viewing the upcoming total solar eclipse safely. 

Dr. Brent MacLaine will launch a new poetry book called A Skeptic in Springtime on April 24, 2024, at 7 pm, in the Faculty Lounge (Room 201), SDU Main Building, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Samuel Harding, a third-year Bachelor of Business Administration student at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, has won a prestigious Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies valued at $45,000.

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Governors approved the  at a special meeting of the Board on March 27, 2024.

Dr. Joshua MacFadyen, Canada Research Chair in Geospatial Humanities, recently received a 2024 PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation Award for his book, Time Flies: A History of Prince Edward Island from the Air.

ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ is saddened by the passing of Dr. Theresa Bernardo, the first graduate student at the University, on March 13, 2024. 

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ community is invited to the installation ceremony on April 5, 2024, for ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ's next Chancellor, the Honourable Diane F. Griffin.

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Governors welcomes two new members for a three-year term: ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty members, Bill Waterman and Dr. Gary Evans.

In an email on March 22, Shannon MacDonald, Chair of the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Board of Governors, invited members of the campus community to a special Board meeting on Zoom where the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Action Plan will be presented to the Board for approval.
