Are you interested in forming a business idea or finding a solution to a global challenge in a new and innovative way?
The Collide Discover program is designed to equip students with the skills needed to be an entrepreneur or innovator.
About the Collide Discover program
Collide Discover is a program designed to empower students across faculties at the beginning of their entrepreneurial and innovation journey, providing them with the confidence and knowledge necessary to propel their big ideas forward.
Throughout this extracurricular program, participants delve into an introduction to entrepreneurship and innovation concepts, learn to identify and match problems with solutions, articulate their business’s value proposition, grasp the fundamentals of human-centered design, and much more.
Collide Discover is offered on the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ campus during the fall semester. The Discover program serves as an introduction.
Please note that, between weekly sessions, participants may be assigned up to three hours of take-home content.
Eligibility
- You must be a student at a university or college within Atlantic Canada (applications from Arts and Social Science students are encouraged)
- You must be available for all the sessions listed below
- You want to learn more about entrepreneurship and innovation
- You have a potential business idea (no matter how rough)
Benefits to Students
- De-risk your idea and/or learn about what it takes to start a business/undertake an innovation
- Prepare for further DAL Innovates programming (the second stage in this program, Collide Validate, will be offered in January)
- Network with other current and future entrepreneurs/social innovators
- Refreshments will be provided
Charlottetown Collide Discover 6-week sessions run from November 1 to December 6, 2024.
Session days/times: Fridays from 11:30 am–1:00 pm
