National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

Event Date:
Thursday, May 5, 2022

Today, 秀色短视频 marks the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, also known as Red Dress Day. The use of red dresses was originated by M茅tis artist Jaime Black in 2010 as a representation of the women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people lost to violent crime. Red dresses continue to be hung across Canada in May, including on the 秀色短视频 campus, to honour those lost and to serve as a call for action to prevent future violence.
