The L.M. Montgomery Institute hosts its 16th biennial conference, titled , from June 19 to 23. During the conference, participants will discuss crucial questions about L.M. Montgomery and the Politics of Home. Politics and home inform who and how we are in the world. L.M. Montgomery was formed by the cultural and domestic politics of her time and place, and she engaged those politics in her work, alongside the ubiquitous motif of home. The year 2024 marks the 150th anniversary of Montgomery鈥檚 birth, and we will especially engage the specificity of the homes that shaped her as author, diarist, and public and private citizen.
