Spend a day at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ's Department of Music and see what the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ music experience is all about!
Attend some of our classes, and listen to our students and faculty perform!
Schedule of Events:
(all events in Room 224, Dr. Steel Recital Hall, unless indicated otherwise)
- 8:30 am – Tour of department and campus (meet in recital hall) – Dr. Sorensen
Morning classes:
- 9:30 am – Music Theory I, Dr. Strum
- 10:30 am – Aural Skills III, Dr. Covey
- 11:30 am – Introduction to Music and Culture, Dr. Zinck
Lunch break - 12:20-12:40 pm (short break; recommended to bring your own lunch)
Student Recital:
- 12:40 pm – Recital featuring ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ music majors
Afternoon masterclasses:
- 1:30 pm – Woodwind Performance Class, Dr. Strum
- 1:30 pm – Piano Performance Class (Rm. 205, Piano Studio), Dr. von Eccher
- 2:30 pm – Voice Performance Class, Professor Bouey
- 3:30 pm – Brass Performance Class, Dr. Sorensen
Faculty Recital:
- 7:30 pm – Recital featuring ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Music faculty - Open House participants can attend for FREE!

- Attendees may choose to have a free 30-minute private lesson with one of our applied instructors!
