Student Assistant- Program Facilitator and Tutor- Faculty of Education
$20.20 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Education is seeking up to two education students to help facilitate school-age programs which are both part of the Literacy & Numeracy Outreach Project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in training and program development sessions
- Plan and deliver arts & play-based after-school tutoring sessions to help support the literacy and numeracy needs of school age children
- Work closely with families to foster a sense of community and a supportive, active learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful candidate will be enrolled in a ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Bachelor of Education program
- Previous experience and or training with early years and early childhood education
- Knowledge of early numeracy and early literacy development
- Understanding of social & emotional learning
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
- An understanding of play pedagogy, project-based learning and holistic education would be considered an asset
- A Bachelor of Education degree will be considered an asset
A valid driver’s license and transportation are required to travel to different program sites.
