The Faculty of Education at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ seeks two part-time Graduate Research Assistants reporting directly to the Graduate Studies Coordinator, and indirectly to the Dean. The selected candidates must be available to work on-site and online, following a flexible schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Faculty researchers relating to their research programs (e.g., ethics submission, completing drafts of expense claim forms, draft survey development, knowledge mobilization)
  • Aid Faculty researchers in the preparation of literature reviews and other research development activities
  • Establish a monthly Graduate Education Seminar Series and Graduate Education Journal Club, e.g., survey interests, arrange speakers, prepare notices for distribution
  • Search and disseminate information on graduate student research funding, e.g., pilot project funds, travel funds, awards, bursaries, scholarships
  • Search and disseminate information on graduate student support services, e.g., Accessibility, Writing, Counseling, Online technology support
  • Aid the Graduate Studies Coordinator with a variety of tasks (e.g., substantive revisions to the MEd Handbook and thesis guide)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Graduate student in good standing, with preference given to Master of Education and PhD Education students
  • Research experience (ideally quantitative and qualitative)
  • Ability to work in French would be considered an asset

This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ. Priority will be given to ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ students.
