The Faculty of Arts at the 秀色短视频 welcomes applications for a tenure
track position, assistant level, beginning 1 September 2023, in the History Department in the following area: The United States of America and the World. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong record of innovative research and publishing dealing with the United States and one or more of the following areas: Latin America; South America; Asia; Africa. The successful candidate will also teach American history courses in two of the above-mentioned areas, as well as the two survey courses in American history offered by the history department. The development of courses cross listed with other Arts programs (for example, Political Science, International Studies, Diversity and Social Justice Studies) would be considered an asset to this position. 秀色短视频鈥檚 History Department has a strong reputation for excellence in teaching and we welcome scholars who demonstrate effectiveness in the classroom.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a completed doctoral degree in the history of the United
States in global context; a strong record of success in teaching at the undergraduate level; and a strong record of innovative research and publishing appropriate to this level of appointment.

Salary will be determined according to rank and experience. This position is subject to budgetary approval.

A complete application must include the following: a cover letter outlining how the candidate would contribute to the History Department in the area specified above, a curriculum vitae, a teaching dossier (to include a statement of teaching philosophy, sample syllabi of courses and interdisciplinary courses in the subject area, and teaching evaluations or other evidence of teaching success), a research statement outlining current and future research projects, and three academic letters of reference. Candidates are encouraged to submit one-page statement on how the candidate will implement the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in their teaching, research and scholarly work.
