The Facilities Management Department at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ is seeking applicants for student cleaners.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Cleaning and housekeeping of various buildings
  • Moving heavy furniture and equipment
  • Vacuuming
  • Cleaning & disinfecting washrooms
  • Reporting damages to the supervisor
  • Pick up and remove waste
  • Other tasks as may be required from time to time to improve the condition and appearance of the University
  • Any other duties indicated by the supervisor

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Strong housekeeping skills and/or experience in the tourism/hospitality industry considered an asset.
  • Ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs./11.5 kgs.
  • Ability to work with and properly use cleaning chemicals, WHMIS (training provided)
  • Positive attitude, energetic, courteous, good telephone etiquette, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
