Five (5) Month Term Position - Department of Psychology - Faculty of Arts
The Department of Psychology at the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ is inviting applications for a 5-month term position beginning December 15, 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate psychology courses in Statistics and Research Design, Physiological Psychology, and Drugs & Behavior.
ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ is a small, dynamic university with a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence. The Department of Psychology (/programs/psychology) is one of the largest of the departments at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ with approximately 900 undergraduate students and offers degrees in the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science. Our diverse foundational BA or BSC programs contribute to students’ development in various ways. Our students not only acquire skills, but they also have opportunities to practice them in the smaller classroom environments and to gain greater confidence in their abilities. Many students successfully launch into relevant professional programs while others continue to thrive in their graduate studies in psychology itself.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an advanced degree in Psychology or a related field (Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered). They should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching and be involved in research. Documented experience teaching any of the courses listed above would be a definite asset. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with experience teaching university level courses.
Salary: Commensurate with experience as per the Collective Agreement of the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty Association, Bargaining Unit #1 (). This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
