Student Assistant - Teaching and Learning Centre
$15.40 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
ASAP – for 8 weeks
Under the mentorship of the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) team at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ, the Teaching and Learning Centre Student Assistant will work on a variety of curriculum and course design projects, including a Student as Partner project.
This student position focuses on the development of instructional resources for ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ instructors, with guidance from the instructional designers and multimedia specialist.
The student assistant will report to Instructional Designer Jason Hogan and will be expected to contribute to group projects, team meetings, and the maintenance of a community of respect with other members of the team. The primary work area will be on the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ campus in the Teaching and Learning Centre.
This position is intended for students in their 3rd year or beyond of post-secondary studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a Students as Partners program where they offer insights / feedback to faculty, instructors and members of the TLC team on how students experience a course, learning activity, assessment, or training module
- Contribute to the monthly Teaching and Learning Centre newsletter
- Work on course materials for the Academic Instructions Skills Program
- Assist in curating materials for the Instructional Resources Hub
- Update website information
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education
- Applicants must have strong oral communication and organizational skills
- Applicant must have experience with MS Office Suite and other computer skills
- A commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion, Indigenization and decolonization would be considered an asset
- An interest and/or background in instructional design, education, use of educational technologies would be considered an asset
