In this message to ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty, staff, and stakeholders, President Keefe updates the community on the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Medicine and first intake date for the joint medical degree program.

ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ and Health PEI are inviting consultants to submit proposals to assess and analyze PEI’s health system capacity to integrate medical learners from the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Faculty of Medicine. The new Faculty will be offering a joint doctor of medicine degree with partner Memorial University.

Dr. Greg Keefe, ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ’s interim President and Vice-Chancellor, delivered a presentation to approximately 75 people on January 13, 2023, updating them on the progress of the development of the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Medicine, the joint doctor of medicine degree with Memorial University, and the new building being built at the north end of campus that will house the new faculty.

In an update to the campus community, President Keefe outlines the progress made on the development of a joint ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ-Memorial Doctor of Medicine degree and the ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ Faculty of Medicine.

President Keefe updates the campus community on several collaborative and positive initiatives at ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ in a message to faculty and staff.

The ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ will hold a series of town hall meetings across PEI to get public input about the development of a joint medical degree with Memorial University. All are welcome to attend any of the meetings.

In a message to the campus community, President Keefe announced several key appointments for the University including that of Dr. Greg Naterer who will be ÐãÉ«¶ÌÊÓƵ's new Vice-President Academic and Research effective May 1, 2022.
