Biomedical Sciences
The Department of Biomedical Sciences provides professional contributions in teaching, basic and applied research, diagnostic service, and continuing education. There are five operational areas in the department:
- Animal behaviour
- Physiology, pharmacology and toxicology
- Cell and molecular biology
- Neuroscience
- Endocrinology
In the DVM curriculum, we present fourteen courses and five elective rotations annually. Nine of these occur in the first year, two in the second year, and three in the third year. Faculty also contribute to two additional elective rotations in the fourth year. The Department offers twenty-two courses within the graduate program according to demand; most of these are presented biannually.
