Companion Animal Trust Fund
Those of us with pets know that they are more than animals we merely take into our homes. A pet is a companion--one who is lovable, loyal and a life-time friend.
We love these special friends, and that's why many people choose to honor their pet with a gift to the Companion Animal Trust Fund at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Not only is the contribution a lasting tribute, it also will enable the Atlantic Veterinary College to bring hope to others.
Donations may also be made in honour of living pet or person, or in appreciation for exceptional veterinary attention.
A gift to the Companion Animal Trust Fund contributes to work which is specifically aimed at improving the health of companion animals. Funds provide a means of continuing research on animal disease; the cause and cure. Funds may also be targeted to improve facilities and equipment for the College's Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
Gifts can be made in the following ways:
- In memoriam: You can acknowledge the special bond you have shared with your pet, or others have shared with their pet, by making a memorial donation to the Companion Animal Trust Fund. You can also make a donation in memory of a person who had a love for animals.
- In appreciation: The high-quality care your pet receives is a direct result of advances made in animal health. You may wish to acknowledge excellent veterinary care and at the same time, contribute to the future health of pets by making a gift to the Companion Animal Trust Fund.
- In honour: You can recognize a special living pet or person by making a donation in their honour to the Companion Animal Trust Fund.
"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan..." (The Once Again Prince, Irving Townsend)
